"It is easy to say that Jesus is good, that He cares for us,
that He will do what's best in our lives. It is another thing for
these truths to get to the heart so that we are free from fear and
anxiety no matter what the circumstances are."

Christmas shines in the hearts of believers, who still feel that childlike surprise. Christmas shines like the Savior who leads us. He puts fire in our hearts, and hope in our lives. -- Everlasting Light
Childlike Surprise. It was His birthday. But yesterday, I got more gifts than I imagined. One by one they came, as if it was my birthday. For a 21 year old, receiving gifts is a rare incident already. Thus, it surprised me that I still felt that childlike surprise each time a gift was handed to me.
Years ago, toys, chocolates, crayons and stationeries wrapped in colorful packages are my sources of joy on Christmas day. I can still recall the excitement that came with tearing apart red and green glossy wrappers, and the big smile on my face upon seeing what's inside.
Age grows old with time. And so do we, on Christmas days. This Christmas, I got a sports watch, a pink wallet, some shirts, a pair of sunglasses, a lamp shade, some perfumes, a box of Nerds candies, an intricately handcrafted journal, and a Tarzan CD. I loved each one of them.
But beyond these material things, were even greater gifts.
Just when I thought giftgiving was over, God gave me more, as if saving the best gifts for last. Feeling like a child again, I unwrapped one present after the other, freezing each moment in my heart. First, the answer to a question I've been keeping at the back of my mind; Second, a song so beautiful it made cry; Third, a promise of love in the days, months, and years to come.
Now there are no words to describe how unbelievably happy I was, I am. No words to explain my tears. No words to thank Him for every prayer that was answered.
This Christmas, love is all around.
..and best of all, today, above all days, God's love is all around. And it's evident on the faces of little children as they held on to their gifts. In the warm get together of relatives. Through the fun and laughter over a late night Noche Buena. And in the beauty of His son, Jesus Christ.
This Christmas is one to keep for always.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas too.
Merry Christmas everyone! :)

Hi. I’m back, I'm back. Missed me? c”,)
Before Anything Else. The other day, my site counter reached it’s 10,000th mark. Right now, I've got 10,178 hits. I don't know where those came from. I'm overwhelmed. :)
Also, someone’s launching his new domain (and new layout as well), right this very hour. Go check his lovely site, and see for yourself why I am a fan. :)
Version Fourteen. Like A Child. Many recent encounters with people inspired this new layout of mine. I hope to blog about them someday soon (hehe, here I go again).. But just for tonight, I’ll make this post simple.
It’s the Time of the Year. It’s that time of the year again.. When Christmas carols have the power to make you feel like floating on air. When the sight of twinkling Christmas lights gives this certain glow in your eyes. When in old songs you find new meanings. When in ordinary familiar places, new memories bloom. When a simple touch or a warm hug makes you feel like a child again – carefree, blissfully happy, and full of hope and love. And when with every smile, you look up to God and thank Him for the blessings He sprinkles your life with.
